Apio is a company with specialized skills in the Internet of Things and Blockchain sector with a strong propensity to create Cloud services with a SaaS business model. The platforms developed by the company are verticalizations in the aforementioned areas of expertise in relation to the market partnerships that the company manages to establish through a venture builder strategy.

Trusty is a platform launched by Apio that functions as a data exchange backbone for all the players in an agri-food chain. In 2020 we launched the Fair & Trusty Trade project, co-financed by AICS (Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development), we set ourselves the goal of resolving the information asymmetry that weakens trust in the supply chain. We have decided to increase equity and sustainability in favor of local producers of raw materials and food producers / distributors. Through the project we are using the Trusty platform to offer all the players in the supply chain greater transparency in transactions and process traceability by exploiting the Blockchain technology.

The Blockchain for the first time in history it allows anyone who receives information to verify when and by whom it was declared. Control of the supply chain does not occur when suppliers are controlled, but when all the players in the supply chain feel satisfied and freely share information with the awareness that these will be made immutable and shared with consumers who are able to verify them.
